Paul McCartney Angers Neighbours By Refusing To Cull Wild BoarDecember 10, 2008
Sir Paul McCartney has angered neighbours by refusing to cull wild boar on his estate in East Sussex, according to reports.
The former Beatles' neighbours have claimed the animals are “wreaking havoc” over his 1,500-acre estate in Peasmarsh. "The boar are doing huge damage. They are also dangerous if confronted. Locals are up in arms. They are breeding like rabbits," one local told the Sun newspaper. Under Government law, landowners have the power the cull boar if they endanger human safety and the environment. A spokesperson for Sir Paul, a passionate animal rights activist and vegetarian, refused to comment on the claims.
