Liam Gallagher Calls Peter Kay 'Fat F*ck' Over BRIT Awards Comment

February 17, 2010
Liam Gallagher Calls Peter Kay 'Fat F*ck' Over BRIT Awards CommentLiam Gallagher has branded Peter Kay a “fat fuck” after the comedian called him a “knob head” at the BRIT Awards.

Kay, one of the country's most popular entertainers, made the remark after the singer threw his award into the crowd at the ceremony in London last night.

Gallagher had attended the event on behalf of his former band Oasis, who won BRITs Album of 30 years for their 1995 album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’.

He used his acceptance speech to thank the members of Oasis who worked on the record - except for his brother Noel, who quit last year.

He then proceeded to walk to the front of the stage, where he threw his microphone and award into the crowd, which triggered Kay's remark.

Responding to Kay's insult on his Twitter account today, Gallagher wrote: “Regarding Peter Kay's comment...

“Listen up fat fuck as a real northerner I was brought up 2 say shit 2 people's faces not behind their back. Live forever LG.”

Oasis's 1995 album beat records by Dido, Duffy and Phil Collins to the award.

Gallagher's outburst has triggered a Facebook group and mocking response from his brother Noel.
