To kiss and tell
It's just not my style.
But the night is young,
And it's been a while.
And she broke my heart,
Broke it right in two.
And it's fixing time,
But I'm feeling like I'm finally ready to
Find, find somebody new.
I wanna kiss a girl,
I wanna hold her tight,
And maybe make a little magic in the moonlight.
Don't wanna go too far
Just to take it slow,
But I shouldn't be lonely in this big ol' world.
I wanna kiss a girl.
It's that moment when
You start closing in.
First you're holding back,
Then surrendering.
It can start a fire,
Light up the sky.
Such a simple thing,
Do you wanna try?
Are you ready to
Say goodbye
To all these blues?
I wanna kiss a girl,
I wanna hold her tight,
And maybe make a little magic in the moonlight.
Don't wanna go too far
Just to take it slow,
But I shouldn't be lonely in this big ol' world.
I wanna kiss a girl.
'Cause, baby, tonight
It could turn into the rest of our lives.
Oh yeah.
Are you ready?
(Are you ready?)
Are you ready
(Are you ready)
To cross that yellow line?
Put your lips on mine.
Put your lips on mine, baby.
Do you wanna try?
Are you ready to
Say goodbye
To all these blues?
I wanna kiss a girl,
I wanna hold her tight,
And maybe make a little magic, baby.
Don't wanna go too far
Just to take it slow,
I don't want to be lonely,
I shouldn't be lonely.
I wanna kiss a girl,
I wanna hold her tight,
And maybe make a little magic in the moonlight.
Don't wanna go too far
Just to take it slow,
But I shouldn't be lonely in this big ol' world.
I wanna kiss a girl.
I said I wanna kiss a girl.
Whoa-ho whoa-ho
I wanna kiss a girl.
I wanna hold her tight,
I wanna make a little magic
Out under the moonlight.
Oooh I wanna kiss a girl.

Preacher told me last Sunday mornin`
Son, you better start livin` right
You need to quit the women and whiskey
And carrying on all night
Don`t you wanna hear him call your name
When you`re standin` at the pearly gates
I told the preacher, "Yes I do"
But I hope they don`t call today
I ain`t ready
Everybody wants to go to heaven
Have a mansion high above the clouds
Everybody want to go to heaven
But nobody want to go now
Said preacher maybe you didn`t see me
Throw an extra twenty in the plate
There`s one for everything I did last night
And one to get me through today
Here`s a ten to help you remember
Next time you got the good Lord`s ear
Say I`m comin` but there ain`t no hurry
I`m havin` fun down here
Don`t you know that
Everybody wants to go to heaven
Get their wings and fly around
Everybody want to go to heaven
But nobody want to go now
Someday I want to see those streets of gold in my halo
But I wouldn`t mind waitin` at least a hundred years or so
Everybody wanna go to heaven
It beats the other place there ain`t no doubt
Everybody wanna go to heaven
But nobody wanna go now
Everybody wanna go to heaven
Hallelujah, let me hear you shout
Everybody wanna go to heaven
But nobody wanna go now
I think I speak for the crowd

We were both young
When I first saw you
I closed my eyes
And the flash back starts
I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air
I see the lights
See the party the ballgowns
I see you make your way
Through the crowd
And say Hello
Little did I know
That you were Romeo
You were throwing pebbles
'Till my daddy said Stay away from Juliet
And I was crying on the staircase
Beggin' you Please don't go
And I said
Romeo take me
Somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting
All that's left to do is run
You be the Prince
And I'll be the Princes
It's a Love Story
Baby just say Yes
So I sneak out
To the garden to see you
We keep quiet
Cause were dead if they new
So close your eyes
Just keep this down for a little while
Cause you were Romeo
I was a Scarlett Letter
And my daddy said Stay away from Juliet
But you were everything to me
And I was beggin' you Please don't go
And I said
Romeo take me
Somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting
All that's left to do is run
You be the Prince
And I'll be the Princes
It's a Love Story
Baby just say Yes
Romeo save me
They're trying to tell me how to feel
This love is difficult
But it's real
Don't be afraid
We'll make it out of this mess
It's a Love Story
Baby just say Yes
I got tired of waiting
Wounderin' if you were ever comin' around
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town
And I said
Romeo save me
I've been feelin' so alone
I keep waiting for you
But you never come
Is this in my head?
I don't know what to think
He kneels to the ground
And pulls out a ring
And says
Marry me Juliet
You never have to be alone
I love you
And that's all I really know
I talked to your dad
Go pick out a white dress
It's a Love Story
Baby just say Yes
Cause we were both young
When I first saw you

There's a place I've been lookin' for
That took me in and out of buildings
Behind windows, walls, and doors
And I thought I found it
Couple times, even settled down
And I'd hang around just long enough
To find my way back out
I know now the place that I was trying to reach
Was you, right here in front of me
And I wouldn't change a thing
I'd walk right back through the rain
Back to every broken heart
On the day that it was breakin'
And I'd relive all the years
And be thankful for the tears
I've cried with every stumbled step
That led to you and got me here, right here
It's amazing what I let my heart go through
To get me where it got me
In this moment here with you
And it passed me by
God knows how many times
I was so caught up in holding
What I never thought I'd find
I know now, there's a million roads I had to take
To get me in your arms this way
And I wouldn't change a thing
I'd walk right back through the rain
Back to every broken heart
On the day that it was breakin'
And I'd relive all the years
And be thankful for the tears
I've cried with every stumbled step
That led to you and got me here
In a love I never thought I'd get to get to - here
And if thats the road
God made me take to be with you
And I wouldn't change a thing
I'd walk right back through the rain
Back to every broken heart
On the day that it was breakin'
And I'd relive all the years
And be thankful for the tears
I've cried with every stumbled step
That led to you and got me here
And I'd relive all the years
And be thankful for the tears
I've cried with every stumbled step
That led to you and got me here, right here
Oh, baby - Ooo
Oh, got me here

Wake up in the morning
Get to living my life
Making sure that Im all that I can be
Went to church on Sunday
There was a moment that came
I swear it was like the Lord spoke right to me
So now I'm slowing it down and I'm looking around
And I'm lovin' this town and I'm doing alright
Aint' worried 'bout nothing cept for the man I wanna be
I'm thinking maybe it's time to be livin' the rhyme
When I'm singing a song about nothing but right
And it'd sure be nice if you would roll with me
Saw a kid last winter only twenty years old
Being laid to rest while his mom stood by his side
Sure was hard to watch those tears roll down her face
Made me think how we all just have our time
So now I'm slowing it down and I'm looking around
And I'm lovin this town and I'm doing alright
Aint' worried 'bout nothing cept for the man I wanna be
I'm thinking maybe it's time to be livin' the rhyme
When I'm singing a song about nothing but right
And it's sure be nice if you would roll with me
Who knows whats up ahead
I think I'd rather not know instead
So now I'm slowing it down and I'm looking around
And I'm lovin this town and I'm doing alright
Aint' worried 'bout nothing cept for the man I wanna be
I'm thinking maybe it's time to be livin' the rhyme
When I'm singing a song about nothing but right
And it's sure be nice if you would roll with me

She was pretty
She was smart
She was witty
Yeah she had charm
Cupid shot me
That's what got me down the aisle
But that match made in heaven
Went straight to hell
Split up our possessions
Put the house up for sale
And I learned a lesson I won't be forgetting
The next time around
I'm gonna marry for money
I'll be so damn rich it ain't funny
I'm gonna have me a trust fund, yacht club, hot tub piece of the pie
Find me a sweet sugar mama
With a whole lot of zeros and commas
Don't really care if she loves me
She can even be ugly
I'm gonna marry for money
I won't have to love her family
I won't have to like her friends
And if it works out like I planned it, I won't ever have to work again
I'm gonna marry for money
I'll be so damn rich it ain't funny
I'm gonna have me a trust fund, yacht club, hot tub piece of the pie
Find me a sweet sugar mama
With a whole lot of zeros and commas
I don't care if she loves me
She can even be ugly
I'm gonna marry for money
Show me the money
Cha-ching
Y'all I'm gonna find a wife
On a leer jet the old lady buys me
I'll call her sweet heart & honey if she's a hundred and twenty
I dont care if she loves me
She can be really ugly
I'm gonna marry for money
Oh, cha-ching
Mucho deniro
Come over here you good lookin' thing, you
There's your walker in the corner
Ov'er ov'er

Suppose I called you up tonight
And told you that I love you
And suppose I said I wanna come back home
And suppose I cried and said I finally learned my lesson
And I'm tired of spending all my time alone
If I told you that I realize you're all I ever wanted
And it's killing me to be so far away
Would you tell me that you love me to
And when we cry together
Would you simply laugh at me and say
I told you so
Oh, I told you so
I told you someday you'd come crawling back and asking me to take you in
I told you so
But you had to go
Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again
If I got down on my knees and told you I was yours forever
Would you get down on yours too and take my hand
Would we get that old time feeling
Would we laugh and cry for hours
The way we did when our love first began
Would you tell me that you miss me too
And that you've been so lonely
And that you've waited for the day that I returned
And we live and love forever
And that I'm your one and only
Would you say the tables finally turn
Would you say I told you so
Oh, I told you so
I told you someday you'd come crawling back and asking me to take you in
I told you so
But you had to go
Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again
Now I found someone new and you will never break my heart in two again

(Keith Stegall / Charlie Craig)
I work a forty hour week and I earn my keep
And I try to walk proud and tall
I keep my nose to the ground, I dont get behind
And I dont back up at all
Well my necks a little red, my collars blue
I sip a little coffee, and I drink a little booze
cause Im an all american country boy
Im my daddys spittin image and my mamas pride and joy
There aint nothing down home that I really dont enjoy
cause Im an all american country boy
I drive a pickup truck and I dont pass the buck
And I always speak my mind
Im hooked on t.v., rolaids, and b.c.s
And I know how to have a good time
Im a little bit rowdy and a little bit tame
Aint no way Im ever gonna change
cause Im an all american country boy
Im my daddys spittin image and my mamas pride and joy
There aint nothing down home that I really dont enjoy
cause Im an all american country boy
Well I must admit that Ive mellowed a bit
Father time can slow you down
Im still doin all I used to do
It just takes a little longer now
cause Im an all american country boy
Im my daddys spittin image and my mamas pride and joy
There aint nothing down home that I really dont enjoy
cause Im an all american country boy
Im just a country boy
A good ol country boy

I got a home down on the river
I’m married to the woman of my dreams
Got a good truck that gets me down the highway
Everything is perfect or so it seems
Momma and daddy come by sometimes
And everything is fine
My old dog does a little singing
Late at night when the moon gets bright
Sunday morning hear the church bells ringing
Let us go and see who’s getting baptized
We gonna take us a Sunday drive
Cause everything is fine
Everything is fine, fine, fine
Through the sunshine and the rain
I got a peace of mind
You know I can’t complain
I make it a point to thank the Lord
When I got Him on the line
I’m feeling good and everything is fine
Got the same job down at the warehouse
Ain’t never been rich but I sleep at night
Got a little girl that looks like her mamma
She likes it when her daddy tucks her in real tight
One night this week we’re gonna have a fish fry
Cause everything is fine, fine, fine
Through the sunshine and the rain
I got a peace of mind
You know I can’t complain
I make it a point to thank the Lord
When I got Him on the line
I’m feeling good and everything is fine
Wahoo!!
I make it a point to thank the Lord
When I got Him on the line
I’m feeling good and everything is fine
I’m feeling good and everything is fine

I don't want to get up baby, let's turn off the phone
I don't want to go to work today or even put my makeup on
I've got better things to do than my todo list anyway
Hide under the covers and waste away the day
Let's just lay here and be lazy, baby drive me crazy
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo is love you
I got my whole life to change the world and climb the ladders
Looking at you looking at me is the only thing that matters
Come a little closer baby, we can talk without the words
Hang a sign on the door, please do not disturb
Let's just lay here and be lazy, baby drive me crazy
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo is love you
Give me a kiss, from that Elvis lip,
You don't want to miss this,
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo
All I want to do wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wooo is love you wo woo
All I really want to do,
All I really want to do,
All I really want to do is love you, love you, love you
Come a little closer baby, we can talk without the words
Hang a sign on the door, please do not, please do not, please do not, please do not disturb
When I lay down in the evening all I really want to do,
When I wake up, when I wake up in the morning baby, all I really want to do...

County road 233, under my feet
Nothin' on this white rock but little ole me
I've got two miles till, he makes bail
And if I'm right we're headed straight for hell
Chorus:
I'm goin' home, gonna load my shotgun
Wait by the door and light a cigarette
If he wants a fight well now he's got one
And he ain't seen me crazy yet
He slap my face and he shook me like a rag doll
Don't that sound like a real man
I'm going to show him what a little girls made of
Gunpowder and lead
It's half past ten, another six pack in
And I can feel the rumble like a cold black wind
He pulls in the drive, the gravel flies
He dont know what's waiting here this time
I'm goin' home, gonna load my shotgun
Wait by the door and light a cigarette
If he wants a fight well now he's got one
And he ain't seen me crazy yet
He slap my face and he shook me like a rag doll
Don't that sound like a real man
I'm going to show him what a little girls made of
Gunpowder and lead
His fist is big but my gun's bigger
He'll find out when I pull the trigger
I'm goin' home, gonna load my shotgun
Wait by the door and light a cigarette
If he wants a fight well now he's got one
And he ain't seen me crazy yet
He slap my face and he shook me like a rag doll
Don't that sound like a real man
I'm going to show him what a little girls made of

I'm still learning how to pray
Trying hard not to stray
Try to see things your way
I'm still learning how to pray
I'm still learning how to trust
It's so hard to open up
And I'd do anything for us
I'm still learning how to trust
I'm still learning how to bend
How to let you in
In a world full of tears
We'll conquer all our fears
I'm still learning how to fly
I wanna take you higher
I'll be there till the end
I'll be your lover and your friend
I'm still learning how to bend
I'm just trying to understand
It's all in someone else's hands
There's always been a bigger plan
But I don't need to understand
I'm still learning how to bend
I wanna take you in
In a world full of tears
We'll conquer all our fears
I'm still learning how to fly
I wanna take you higher
I'll be there till the end
I'll be your lover and your friend
I'm still learning how to bend
I'll be there till the end
I'll be your lover and your friend
I'm still learning how to bend
I'm still learning how to bend
I'll be there till the end
I'm still learning how to bend

I said grandpa whats this picture here its all black and white it aint real clear is that you there? He said yeah i was 11 times were tough back in '35 thats me and uncle Joe just tryin to survive a cotton farm in the great depression.
If it looks like we were scared to death like a couple of kids just trying to save each other you should've seen it in color.
Ohh and this one here was taken over seas in the middle of hell in 1943 in the winter time you can almost see my breath that was my tail gunner ole Johnny Magee he was a high school teacher from new Orleans and he had my back right through the day we left.
If it looks like we were scared to death like a couple of kids just trying to save each other you should've seen it in color.
A picture's worth a thousand words but you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered you should've seen it in color
This one is my favorite one. This is me and grandma in the summer sun all dressed up the day we said our vows. You can't tell it here but it was hot that June and that rose was red and her eyes were blue and just look at that smile I was so proud. Thats the story of my life right there in black and white
And if it looks like we were scared to death like a couple of kids just trying to save each other you should've seen it in color.
A pictures worth a thousand words but you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered you should have seen it in color.
You should have seen it in color
Yeah a pictures worth a thousand words but you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered you should have seen it in color

He didnt have to wake up
He'd been up all nite
Lay'n there in bed listen'n
To his new born baby cry
He makes a pot of coffee
He splashes water on his face
His wife gives him a kiss and says
It gonna be OK
It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll look back laugh'n
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby just hold on
It wont be like this for long
Four years later bout four thirty
She's crawling in there bed
And when he drops her off at preschool
She's clinging to his leg
The teacher peels her off of him
He says what can I do
She says now dont you worry
This will only last a week or two
It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll drop her off
And she wont even know your gone
This phase is gonna fly by
If you can just hold on
It wont be like this for long
One day soon she'll be a teenager
And at times you'll think she hates him
Then he'll walk her down the isle
And he'll raise her vale
But right now she up and cry'n
And the truth is that he dont mind
As he kisses her good night
And she says her prayers
He lays down there beside her
Till her eyes are finally closed
And just watch'n her it breaks his heart
Cause he already knows
It wont be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
Yeah this phase is gonna fly by
He's try'n to hold on
It wont be like this for long
It wont be like this for long

[Verse 1]
Hey girl, what's your name?
It's so loud in here I can't hear a thing,
But I sure do like your style,
And I can see you came to rock
In your blue jeans and white tank top;
Man that look drives me wild.
[Chorus]
And it's hey now here we go.
D-j don't you play nothing slow
Keep those girls out on the floor
Gotta make them want to come back for more.
Been here since the sun went down,
Be here when it comes back around
Worked all week it's time to play
Gonna get a little bit sideways...
Sideways.
[Verse 2]
Ain't no need to fight
Y'all take that redneck stuff outside
That's what parking lots are for.
Once you're out you ain't coming back
The man on the ropes ain't got no slack.
Man they're busting down the door!
[Chorus]
And it's hey now here we go
D-J don't you play nothing slow
Keep those girls out on the floor
Gotta make 'em wanna come back for more.
Been here since the sun went down
Be here when it comes back around
Worked all week it's time to play
Gonna get a little bit sideways...
Sideways.
[Bridge]
That's right
Hey now here we go
(hey now here we go)
D-j don't you play nothing slow
Gotta make 'em wanna (what?)...
Gotta make 'em wanna (what?)...
Gotta make 'em wanna come back for more.
[Chorus]
Hey now here we go
D-J don't you play nothing slow
Keep those girls out on the floor
Gotta make 'em wanna come back for more
Been here since the sun went down
Be here when it comes back around
Worked all week it's time to play
Gonna get a little bit sideways (na na na na na)...
Sideways...sideways...sideways
Hey girl what's your name?
It's so loud in here I can't hear a thing....

I learned the hard way real early in life
That money sure don't grow on a tree
And there's a few things that a dollar can't buy
The best things in life, they come free
So girl I can't buy you a big diamond ring
No house on a hill full of life's finer things
And I'll tell you right now there's a whole lot that I just can't do
Oh, but baby don't think I can't love you
And when I get home after workin' all day
I'm beat down girl, I'm dead on my feet
But as tired as I am if you wanna play
Well, playin' sounds real good to me
'Cause girl I can't buy you a big diamond ring
No house on a hill full of life's finer things
And I'll tell you right now there's a whole lot that I just can't do
Oh, but baby don't think I can't love you
So girl I can't buy you a big diamond ring
No house on a hill full of life's finer things
And I'll tell you right now there's a whole lot that I just can't do
Oh, but baby, baby, oh baby don't think I can't love you

Dont you hate hearing that clock on the wall chimming saying its time and
Dont you just wish we could stay right here together all day long
You know it wouldnt be a crime if we crawled back into bed got as close as we could get
Tried to figure out where this thing is going
Baby, baby, dont, dont you say youre leaving
Why dont you stay a little bit longer
Got it going on and I just cant believe it
This feeling it just keeps getting stronger
If you gotta go you gotta know I might go crazy
Here without you baby
Reliving every kiss, you aint leaving me like this
It just aint right and wait until tonight to light another flame
You know it wouldnt be the same as the fire we got burning this morning
Baby, baby, dont, dont you say youre leaving
Why dont you stay a little bit longer
Got it going on and I just cant believe it
This feeling it just keeps getting stronger
No, Noone else can love me like you do
You know I aint even close to thru
Loving you...
Baby, baby, dont, dont you say youre leaving
Why dont you stay a little bit longer
Got it going on and I just cant believe it
This feeling it just keeps getting stronger

I run from hate
I run from prejudice
I run from pessimists
But I run too late
I run my life
Or is it running me
Run from my past
I run too fast
Or too slow it seems
When lies become the truth
That’s when I run to you
Chorus
This world keeps spinning faster
Into a new disaster so I run to you
I run to you baby
And when it all starts coming undone
Baby you’re the only one I run to
I run to you
We run on fumes
Your life and mine
Like the sands of time
Slippin’ right on through
And our love’s the only truth
That’s why I run to you
Repeat Chorus
Repeat Chorus

I still feel 25, most of the time.
I still raise a little cain with the boys.
Honky tonks and pretty women.
Lord I'm still right there with them.
Singing above the crowd and the noise.
(Chorus)
Sometimes I feel like Jesse James,
Still trying to make a name.
Knowing nothing's gonna change what I am.
I was a young troubadour, when I rode in on a song.
and I'll be an old troubadour, when I'm gone.
Well, The truth about a mirror, It's that a damned old mirror,
Don't really tell the whole truth.
It don't show what's deep inside, or read between the lines,
it's really no reflection of my youth.
(Repeat Chorus)
I was a young troubadour, when I rode in on a song.
I'll be an old troubadour, when I'm gone.
I'll be an old troubadour, when I'm gone.
