Massive Attack Artwork Censored On London UndergroundFebruary 8, 2010
The artwork to Massive Attack's new album 'Heligoland' has been censored on London Underground adverts because it looks too much like graffiti.
Band lynchpin Robert '3D' Del Naja told the Daily Star he's miffed by the bizarre ruling. “They won’t allow anything on the Tube that looks like street art,” he said. “They want us to remove all drips and fuzz. It’s the most absurd censorship I’ve ever seen.” 'Heligoland' is out right now via Virgin Records. Their brief, three-date UK tour kicks off in Newport tonight.
