Michael Jackson 'Was Pushed Into Agreeing To Do 50 Comeback Gigs'July 13, 2009
Michael Jackson’s sister, Le Toya has claimed her brother was “pushed” into agreeing to play 50 comeback shows in London.
The singer, who died on June 25, was due to begin the concert residency at the O2 Arena on Monday (July 13). But in an interview with the News of the World, Le Toya said the star was against the long run – and that even his daughter, Paris, had raised concerns. "He didn't want to do 50 shows, he only wanted to do 10. But he was pushed. And Michael being Michael didn't want to let down his fans,” Le Toya said. "But even his daughter Paris said, 'They worked Daddy too hard.' Somebody that fragile can't keep going on like that." The shows would have marked Michael’s first full concert to in over a decade.
