Mark Ronson Promises 'No Covers, Horns' On Duran Duran Inspired New AlbumJuly 9, 2010
Mark Ronson has assured people that there will be no horns or covers on his new album.
The producer and singer said he had changed direction since 2007's 'Version', and subsequent production work with other artists. In an interview with the BBC, Ronson said his new album 'Record Collection' had been mainly inspired by Duran Duran. "There's no covers, no horns," he said. "Working with Duran Duran is directly responsible for the sound on this album - although it doesn't sound like Duran Duran." Ronson is a life-long fan of the band and is also understood to be producing their next studio album. The two acts also performed together in Paris two years ago. 'Record Collection' is due to be released in September. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Razorlight, Mark Ronson For Shakedown Festival 2011 (12.04.2011)
