Led Zeppelin And Foo Fighters Grammy Awards Baton Up For AuctionDecember 9, 2008
The baton Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones used to conduct the Foo Fighters performance at the Grammy Awards has gone up for auction.
Jones directed the orchestral section of the band's hit 'The Pretender' onstage in Los Angeles last February. The baton, which is made by Mollard, comes in its original wooden box, and is signed by the bassist and all four members of the Foo Fighters. Jones' Grammy collaboration with the group came ahead of their performance at London's Wembley Stadium in July. Jones and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page joined the Foo Fighters onstage for covers of 'Rock and Roll' and 'Ramble On'. The auction ends on December 11th.
