Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Jason Bonham Tour 'Not Led Zeppelin'November 13, 2008
A band featuring Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham would not go by the name of Led Zeppelin, a spokesperson for Page has said.
Jones revealed last month that the former Led Zeppelin stars planned to tour minus their frontman after Plant ruled himself out of any further performances. The revelation caused many fans to speculate whether the trio would be called Led Zeppelin or go by another name. When asked about the collaboration, an unnamed spokesperson for Page’s management company, Qprime, told Rolling Stone: “Whatever this is, it is not Led Zeppelin. Not without the involvement of Robert Plant.” Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Chris Cornell and Alterbridge frontman Myles Kennedy are among those who have been linked to the vacant singing position. Calls for a full Led Zeppelin reunion tour have been relentless since the bands reunion show at the O2 Arena last December - which attracted 1 million applicants for just 9,000 pairs of tickets.
