Guess you know by now or at least you should
There is no volunteer for the common good
Still waiting for the Saviour to appear
But He's s not here
And no one's coming down to save your soul
You're the only ones who can assume that role
But your minds are empty and you've lost control
To the ones who sell you dreams
To fill that hole

Some of us I know seem to have much more
Born with a key to every door
Distribution of fortune seems unfair
Same everywhere
And those who have they just want more
Using other peoples weakness to increase their score
Do you really know who you're working for
It's not for one another and that s for sure

Guess you know by now or ac least you should
There is no volunteer for the common good
Still waiting for that Saviour to appear
But He's still not here
And no one's s coming down to save your soul
You're the only ones who can assume that role
But your minds are empty
And you've lost control
To the ones who sell you dreams
To fill that hole

Who's the one with the grin on his face
Says he's gonna save the human race
He laughs a lot as he climbs to fame
What's his name

Guru Banana

That's me and I'll show you the light
I've got the answers and they're all right
I'm divine and you can be the same
What's my name

Guru Banana
Guru Banana
Guru Banana
Oh you rude banana
What's my name
Guru banana

Now gather round and hear my song
If you think your life is going wrong
Come to me and I'll take the blame
Just call my name

Guru Banana
Grab your partners swing around
Dance along to my different sound
You think it's new but it's just the same
Now sock it to me once again Guru Banana. Guru Banana
Take us to nirvana You know you can you're our man
Whose the one with the grin on his face
Says he's gonna save the human race
You're gonna take us to nirvana
We hope you can
You're our man
Guru Banana, Guru Banana
Take us to nirvana
You know you can
Grab your partners swing them round
Dance along to my different sound
I'm a Guru
Guru Banana

Living in the city seems
To fill me with trepidation
Fills me with trepidation inside

Too much big business
And too little celebration
Too little celebration indeed

So let's raise our voices
And sing for our lives
Sing for our life
Let's raise our voices
Drink for our lives
Drink for your life my friends, my friends,
my friends, my friends

Too many reassuring lies
To lullaby the population
Lullaby the population to sleep

Too much big business
Too little celebration
Too little celebration indeed

See how she smiles
Like an affectionate child
Do not disturb do not do anything wild
Sweetly she dreams of love as a rainbowed
High on my
I won't disturb her while dreaming I'll only try

Hour by hour and minute by minute alone
The Queen of our dreams is feted and waited upon
5he's the blonde and blue eyed happiness all
come true
So sing out your song brother
But she'll only listen to you

. . .

I've been up all night with a kind of light
Burning in my brain
The flames is cold .... freezing,
But it takes away my pain
I don't feel any pain
No, I don't feel any pain
Just sit here listening to the rain tonight

No no no you sweet deceiver, you

Though it's cold the pain is bright
Clearer vision through the night
If helps me see that it's alright with me

You sweet deceiver you
You sweet deceiver you
Oh no no no oh, no no you sweet deceiver you

Though it's cold it's pain is bright
Clearer vision through the night
And it helps me see then it's alright with me
I've been up all night with a kind of light
Burning in my brain
I don't feel any pain
No, I don't feel any pain
I know it's coming back again tonight

Hey Babe you're making my wheels start turning
Loving but I'm still learning to
Hey babe nothing to say but words
And I could just play with words all day
Never knew how to write a love song
Always seemed to get the words wrong
Always trying to say what can't be said

Hey Babe you're making my wheels start turning
Loving but I'm still learning to
Never knew how to write a love song
Always seemed to get the words wrong
Always trying to say what can't be said
Hey Babe I've nothing to say but words
And I could just play with words all day

Some people sent me a circular letter
Explaining how their ideas were better
And asking me to join their gang
They said they were select
So many people they reject
I read it carefully to give them a chance
Looked like instructions for a new kind of dance
With mystical innuendos
Most confusing
But quite amusing
So many different kinds of club to join
So many versions of the same old coin
Do what you like with your convictions
I believe them all
But if I don't t answer when you call
Guess I'll be up against that wall again and again
Here comes that postman again
Another invitation
Uh, this ones really cute
It says “surrender or we shoot'
So I'm sending this salute
Cause I'm a member too of any circle
That belongs to you
Making a circle is just drawing a line
Around some space any time and place
Just add the details of your face

It's hallo sparrow paradoxical
Oh so auto tautological
Maybe vaguely ecological too, oo poop pee do
Home brewed, half nude terminology
Private, drive it yourself mythology
Everybody needs some ology now...

Here comes the same thing again and again
Oo ee here comes that postman again
With another invitation, this one's really cute
It says surrender or we shoot"
So I'm sending this salute
Remember to stand at attention

Once upon an ocean
We dream a ship to sail
When it start leaking
We had to learn to bail
All that mattered it was
Keeping the ship afloat
But we couldn't work together
We become a drunken boat
Captain shouted out
Nobody hear him speak. oh no
Everyone went rushing round going crazy
Trying to find that leak
Waves getting heavier
We don't stand much chance
Then we heard that old familiar music
And we just had to dance

Our ship is sinking but we don't give a damn
No, No, No, No
Our ship is sinking but we don't give a damn
No, No, No, No, No

Farewell again please come back someday
It's getting harder every time I have to say
goodbye
Oh fare you well
So many feelings I know we share
Like being here and wanting to be there
And when you're asked where that is you
Say you don't know
It s just somewhere else and you have to go
So you go
You always go, where do you go

So many choices you have to run
Because when life is made too easy
It s much harder to simply have fun
Now you're always on the run
You panic when someone tries to unfold you
Scream for the dream that seems to hold you
You want to give love but only on condition
That it's on your terms and that position is lonely

This I know
Don't get me wrong
I'm not pushing you down
Or trying to change your mind
Your problems are my problems too
And I'm talking just as much to myself
As I am to you

Farewell again please come back someday
It's getting harder every time
I have to say goodbye
Fare You Well
Fare You Well
Fare You Well

Ayers

Woke up this morning, I went out on the street
Sniffed a few flowers then I went back to sleep
My head was cloudy but the sky was blue
And I didn't feel lonely till I thought of you
Didn't feel lonely till I thought of you
Didn't feel lonely till I thought of you.

Later that evening I knocked on your door
Asked how you're feeling, you said you weren't sure
Took off your costume and you lay on the bed
And I came down beside you with the moon in my head
Came down beside you with the moon in my head
Came down beside you with the moon in my head.

I whispered nothing sweetly in your ear
I played the music that you like to hear
I held you tightly but you slipped right through
And I was left holding someone but I didn't know who
I was left holding someone but I didn't know who
Left holding someone but I didn't know who.

Maybe I'm crazy and I'm lost in a dream
Brothers and sisters, you know what I mean
You leave things open you get lost in the space
And you have to keep running to keep out of this race
You have to keep running to keep out of this race
You have to keep running to keep out of this race.

I walked into this bar
and the man refused;
He said, "We don't serve strangers
in blue suede shoes;
We don't give credit, and
We don't give way--
We have to think about what the people might say..
uh, you know what I mean..."
I said, "Sure, man"

Oh, he gave me a smile that was sickly and wet,
And I offered him one of my cigarettes.
He took it, afraid that he might appear rude,
Then proceeded to sell me some second class food.
Nice guy - meet 'em everywhere.. .

He said, "My oh my, I have suffered too long,
And this cigarette seems to be very strong;
I don't make the rules
I just get what I take
And I guess every rule was made to break.
You can take what you like, it won't hurt me
Cause I'm just working for the company."
From the green cigarette, He took a long drag,
And said, "I think I'll pick my travelling bag.

I'm tired of cheating, and wasting my head
And filling the boss's bags with bread.
I want to get out in the sun and rain,
And feel the wind on on skin again;
The world is large, and I've got time yet.
And, by the way, thanks for that cigarette..
Thank you very much."

"You know, I feel like a new man
Yes I do, I don't know why;
I'd just like to say
Thank you very much(indeed)
It's a beautiful day
I think I'll be on my way (right away)
I'd just like to say
Thank you very much.
Yes, I'm getting the hell out of here
Yes, I am - bye, bye.
That's the end of the message
Thank you very much.
Bye bye...

. . .

I have been called a down
Yes you may write that down
And for a little money
I am extremely funny.

I play before the audience
I make them laugh and shout
And when they've laughed for quite a while
The door man lets them out, bye bye.

You ask me how I do my act
This is my reply
I climb up on a ladder
And announce that I will fly.

You ask me how I do my act
This is my reply
I climb up on a ladder
And announce that I will fly.
