Friendly Fires Discuss New AlbumNovember 3, 2009
Friendly Fires have written four new songs for their next album.
The band, who released their self titled debut album in 2008, say they hope to record the songs early in 2010 and release the album for the Summer's festivals. Speaking to BBC 6 Music singer Ed Mcfarlane said, “We have about four tracks done already, which is really good because we only came off the road about a month ago, so we're really pleased with the way it's panning out,” When asked how the new songs sound Mcfarlane added, “I don't think we’re trying to think about writing pop hits because I think as soon as you do that you’re missing the point a little bit and you'll end up writing really bad songs... We're just writing whatever comes naturally.” (by David Renshaw) See also: Friendly Fires Announce May UK Tour (08.04.2011)
