Information

Glasvegas are a Scottish alternative rock band from the East End of Glasgow. The band consists of James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (lead guitar, backing vocals), Paul Donoghue (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Jonna Löfgren (drums). The band have received exceptional critical acclaim from press and peers alike for their debut album 'Glasvegas' which was released in September 2008 reaching No.2 in the UK Album Charts and which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2009 almost a year after the release of the album.

Glasvegas Respond To James Allan Overdose Reports

Glasvegas have responded to reports in a tabloid newspaper that singer James Allan suffered an overdose two years ago. On Tuesday (March 8), Allan was quoted by The Sun as saying that the real reason the band cancelled several US tour dates in 2009 was due to him taking a drugs overdose.  Read more
