Doves are an English alternative rock band, originating from Wilmslow. The band comprises brothers Jez Williams (guitar, vocals) and Andy Williams (drums, vocals), and Jimi Goodwin (bass, vocals, guitar). The members started working seriously together after meeting at The Haçienda in Manchester. Doves' unofficial fourth member is Martin Rebelski, who plays keyboards. To date, the band has released four critically acclaimed and commercially successful studio albums, and their first career-spanning compilation album "The Places Between: The Best of Doves" was released in April 2010.

Doves have revealed that they have “no plans” at the moment to record another album. The group are due to play at the Warehouse Project in Manchester on October 16. Read more

Doves, Billy Bragg and Cherry Ghost are amongst the acts set to take part in this year's Ben & Jerry's Sundae festival in London. Other acts on the bill include Scouting for Girls, Idlewild, Slow Club, Frightened Rabbit and Kitty. Read more

Doves and The Coral are set to headline this summer’s Kendal Calling festival, it’s been announced. The event takes place at Lowther Deer Park in The Lake District from July 30-August 1. Read more

Doves singer Jimi Goodwin says that he would like to see Lady Gaga cover their song, 'Sulphur Man'. Goodwin said the US singer cold bring something different to the track, and also increase his royalty payments. Read more
