It's two AM and we're pulling in for the presents
Mama won't sleep cause she knows we'll be any second
All the blinds are pulled, every bed is full
With the both of us this house might bust, what a blessing
You and me
And all this family

We're gonna have a merry Christmas, babe
A very merry Christmas, baby
We're gonna have a merry Christmas, babe
A very merry Christmas, baby

The old neighborhood always looked so good each December
We say hello to the friends we can and can't remember
Then the hand bells ring, and then the children sing
Then we talk so late that the fireplace is on embers
You and me
And all this family

We're gonna have a merry Christmas, babe
A very merry Christmas, baby
We're gonna have a merry Christmas, babe
A very merry Christmas, baby

If Santa forgets us
The world will be fine
Let's put out those pictures
And conversate by firelight

A merry Christmas, babe
A very merry Christmas, baby
It's crazy

. . .

Christmas tree, baby baby you and me
We untangle plans and hung some memories
Suit and tie, places to be tonight
Girl, you've gotta know what I wanna go,
it's so toasty warm inside
Baby let's just light the fire (but i got a new dress)
Doesn't look so safe to drive (you bought me that necklace)
We won't know what we're missin if we don't go out for Christmas tonight

So much snow, the wind you know is bound to blow

It's too late, whatever would we say
We shouldn't break our plans, let down our friends,
Baby you best behave

Baby let's just light the fire (what about the city)
Doesn't look so safe to drive (but the drive's so pretty)
We won't know what we're missing if we don't go out for christmas tonight

You lookin too good to share
and maybe our friends won't care
baby we always got next year

Baby let's just light the fire
I'll get the matches
Doesn't look real safe to drive
I'll grab some glasses
We won't know what we're missing
Maybe we should stay in baby
Won't know what we're missin if we don't go out for Christmas tonight.

. . .

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I don't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeers click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you

All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me...

Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is...
You

. . .

Meet me at the mistletoe

You're glowing like these Christmas lights
You're the Belle of the ball tonight
Our friends stopped in and will only leave when
We tell them all they have to
You wink from way across the room
I send a smile right back to you
Nothing is wrong but conversations go long
I only want a minute with you

Let's rendezvous and sneak a kiss the time is right
No one will know
Meet me at the mistletoe

It will be while before the party ends
Another couple just walked in
The night's been great but I can hardly wait
Until it's only us again

The mistletoe is looking so good tonight
Let's rendezvous and sneak a kiss the time is right
No one will know
Meet me at the mistletoe

We're having so much fun I don't really want the night to end
I need a moment or two with you just to make it until then

Let's rendezvous and sneak a kiss the time is right
No one will know
Meet me at the mistletoe

Come on and meet me baby
Meet me at the mistletoe...

. . .

I'll be home for Christmas;
You can count on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents beneath the tree.

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light beams.
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams.

. . .

I pray on Christmas
That the Lord will see me through
I pray on Christmas
He'll show me what to do

I pray on Christmas
He'll help me understand
And I pray on Christmas
He'll take me by the hand

I pray on Christmas
That the sick will soon be strong
I pray on Christmas
The Lord will hear my song

I pray on Christmas
That God will lead the way
And I pray on Christmas
He'll get me through another day

I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
He'll get me through another day

I pray on Christmas
All our problems gonna be worked out
I pray on Christmas
God'll show us what love's about

I pray on Christmas
To do Your will each day
And I pray on Christmas
That I'll be with You in heaven some day

I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
I pray on Christmas
He'll get me through another day

I pray on Christmas
Oh, the sick will soon be strong
I pray on Christmas
The Lord will hear my song

I pray on Christmas
That God will lead the way
And I pray I really pray on Christmas
He'll get me through another day
He'll get me through another day...

. . .

The family car, we barely fit
Christmas time had come again
Bundled up to fight the freeze
Picking out the family tree

We'd decorate with clumsy hands
In hope that Santa comes again
And in the morning wake to see
Gifts beneath the family tree

And I don't know where I'm going, but I do know who'll I'll be
These memories and names like leaves all hang on us
The family tree

We're older now, we all have changed
But we all laugh at the same old things
We'll spend the night with memories
Gathered ‘round the family tree

And I don't know where I'm going, but I do know who'll I'll be
These memories and names like leaves all hang on us

We're so much more than blood, we're more than names
We're bound by bonds that only God sustains
But this time of year we all gather here
And I always know I'm home

There are voices now where silence was
The subtle signs of growing up
Where one is born, another leaves
Branches on the family tree

. . .

Winter days are moving in
Picking out a tree again
It's you I'm thinking of

Everything in red and green
Along those city streets
It's you I'm thinking of

December days
Make me feel this way
Hope you feel the same

(Chorus)
Nobody wants to be lonely on Christmas
Nobody wants to be blue
You are the one on the top of my wish list
After all, it's a holiday made for two

Houses hung with Christmas lights
Sing along with silent night
It's you I'm thinking of

Boys and girls and Santa Claus
Wreath hung on the city hall
It's you I'm thinking of

December days
Make me feel this way
Hope you feel the same

Repeat Chorus

There's mistletoe
And you never know
What the night might have in store
Girl, I confess
Ever since we met
You're the present I've been waiting on

Repeat Chorus

Me and you
Me and you

. . .

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's bringing lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
Merry Christmas to you

. . .

Mary was the first of three
Long black hair and sugar sweet
Daddy's eyes and Momma's crooked smile
She was barely seventeen
Got a job keepin dishes clean
Planned to stay in this city for awhile
For awhile

Joseph ran a lumber yard
About a mile from olive park
Quiet boy he never had much to say
It was love right from the start
He bought a ring and won Mary's heart
Had hopes for a home and kids someday
Kids someday

The angel scared her half to death
She would've screamed but she lost her breath
On a midnight there in the middle of May
He said "Oh mary don't be afraid
You'll bear a son that the Lord has made
Name him Jesus, He'll light the way."

She packed the clothes, he made the plans
They had to go to Bethlehem
But there was nowhere left to stay
So in a barn she gave birth
To the King of Kings the Lord of Earth
Just a little bitty thing sleeping on the hay
Sleeping on the hay

The story's too long to tell
But he walked on water and lived through hell
Killed on a cross and rose from the grave
We got a King they got a son
Mary and Joseph were the only ones
There on that very first Christmas day
There on that very first Christmas day
