Creed 'Planning Big Money 2009 Reunion Tour'December 2, 2008
American rock band Creed are planning a 2009 reunion tour, according to reports.
The band, who split in June 2004, have held talks over a string of dates which would earn them “significant dollars”. Since parting ways, frontman Scott Stapp has embarked on a solo career, while bassist Brian Marshall, guitarist Mark Tremonti and drummer Scott Phillips formed Alter Bridge. The group have sold 26.1million album sales in the US since 1997 and grossed more than $70million from their live shows. A spokesperson for the band's record label told Billboard: There have been some talks, but it would be premature to comment on them at this time." The reports coincide with claims that Alter Bridge's frontman Myles Kennedy is favourite to replace Robert Plant in Led Zeppelin. Kennedy is one of a host of names who have been linked to the position since Plant said he no longer intended to return to the group.
