The Beach Boys To Reform For 50th AnniversaryJuly 22, 2010
The Beach Boys are planning to reform to celebrate their 50th anniversary, founding member Al Jardine has revealed.
The guitarist said the reunion would include Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston. Early guitarist David Marks may also feature. Jardine told Rolling Stone they hoped to perform “at least one show” and hinted that it could be free. The Golden Gate Park and National Mall in Washington, D.C. have been outlined as potential locations for the gig. Jardine also suggested that the band could take the show on the road. "I want to see a 100-date anniversary tour," he added. As previously reported, Brian Wilson is set to release a new studio album in August.
