Beyonce To Make Glastonbury Festival 2011 'Diverse'

February 16, 2011
Beyonce To Make Glastonbury Festival 2011 'Diverse'Festival organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that she booked Beyonce to keep Glastonbury 'diverse'.

Last week (February 11) Beyonce confirmed that she will be headlining this year's Glastonbury festival.

“We are really keen to keep the line-up as diverse as possible. It's always been that way. We really want the people who are the masters of their fields, and that's what she is,” Eavis told Glastonburyfestivals.

She added: “I went to see her live last year and was blown away by the might of the show. She has such soul, an amazing voice with an incredible, all-female band. She knows how to deliver live, and she packs a big punch – it's gonna explode!”

Coldplay confirmed that they would be headlining the festival. U2 are also rumoured to be headlining the opening night.

Tickets for the festival have already sold out.
