Radiohead New Album 'Logical Progression' From 'In Rainbows'February 15, 2011
Radiohead's decision to release their new album online this weekend is the “logical progression” from the way they launched their last LP, 'In Rainbows', their manager has said.
The Oxford band's new album 'The King Of Limbs' will be available to download on Saturday (February 19), a month ahead of its physical release. In 2007, the group were praised for adopting a pay-what-you-want scheme for 2007's 'In Rainbows'. In an interview with MusicWeek, Chris Hufford said they had learned from 'In Rainbows' release and that all decision had been taken with their fans in mind. “Our allegiances are to the band,” he said. “We manage Radiohead, we don’t manage retail or labels, we just manage the band and are just trying to do the best possible thing to allow another brilliant record to be embraced by the fanbase.” 'The King Of Limbs' is available to pre-order now from thekingoflimbs.com. The download costs £6 on MP3 and £9 on WAV. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Radiohead Record Store Day Release Leaks Online (14.04.2011)
