Beyonce has been in the studio collaborating with Sleigh Bells, it has been revealed.

The singer has been working on the follow-up to 2008's 'I Am...Sasha Fierce' with the New York duo, Billboard reports.

"I like sleigh bells so much. Me and switch was in studio in nyc tryin to make tracks with derek and beyonce last week after we played her team their album," producer Diplo wrote on his blog.

He added: "Dunno if we gonna manage to finish but it was good times."

Sleigh Bells also confirmed the collaboration over Twitter: "Yeah damn beyonce on it was intense track may not get finished (?) but we finished the rum off at least."

Meanwhile, Sleigh Bells and some of music's finest took to the stage in Kentish town week (Thursday 20th) for Radio 1's 'In New Music We Trust' gig.
