Cee Lo Green Stunned By 50 Cent 'F*ck You' TributeOctober 4, 2010
Cee Lo Green has said he felt honoured that 50 Cent recorded a tribute of his recent single, ‘F*ck You’.
The rapper released his own version just days after Green’s original lyric-only video was released in August. “I was like, ‘Wow’,” Green said of 50 Cent’s homemade tribute. The Gnarls Barkley star also confirmed that the pair were working on a joint video for the song. Originally released on YouTube, the video was watched more than 1 million times in the first 48 hours. It has since been viewed more than 6 million. “I remember the day that it was being released we were on a flight here and by the time I landed it had exploded by then, and that’s an eight hour trip,” Green said. “So in a matter of eight hours, in my recollection, that’s quite a phenomenon, almost a miracle maybe.” ‘F*ck You’ is taken from Green’s forthcoming album ‘The Lady Killer’, which is released in November.
