Biffy Clyro are set to headline this year’s Hogmanay concert in Edinburgh, it’s been announced.

The Scottish band will perform at the Concert In The Gardens on December 31.

Councillor Steve Cardownie said: "Edinburgh's Hogmanay is envied across the world and this year, with Biffy Clyro set to perform, there will be no better place to be to bring in the new year."

Additional acts are due to be announced in the coming weeks.

In previous years, the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh have featured performances from the likes of Groove Armada and Kasabian.

Tickets for this year’s event go onsale on Friday (October 1) at 9am.
