Tinie Tempah has revealed that he wants to be valued as highly as artists like Damon Albarn and Coldplay’s Martin.

The British rapper said he was honoured to be included in the Brrap Pap, which also includes Chipmunk, but was looking to become a bigger name.

“I understand that the Brrap pack thing was meant to be flattering - like the Rat Pack - but it’s pigeon-holing in a way and I want to break through that,” he told the Daily Star.

“I’m friends with Kylie, Damon Albarn and Chris Martin and one day I want to just be in the same category as them.”

Meanwhile, Tinie Tempah’s new single ‘Written In The Stars’ is on course to top this week’s UK singles chart.

The track is currently outselling nearest rival Labrinth, who has also produced a number of songs on Tempah's forthcoming debut album 'Disc-overy'.
