Elton John, Plan B To Open BBC Electric Proms 2010Sir Elton John will open this year’s BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms in London, it’s been announced.

The singer will perform with Plan B and Rumer at the Roundhouse on October 28.

Sir Elton is also expected to play songs from his new album ‘The Union’ with Leon Russell.

"I'm delighted to be kicking off this year's Radio 2 Electric Proms, particularly as I'll be joined on stage by Leon who is one of my musical heroes," Sir Elton said.

"The performance will feature some very special guests and memorable moments."

Additional acts set to appear at this year’s Electric Proms will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets will be available later this month.
