Guns N Roses Face 'Very Strict Curfew' At Reading And Leeds 2010

August 24, 2010
Guns N Roses Face 'Very Strict Curfew' At Reading And Leeds 2010Councillors have imposed “very strict curfews” on this year's Reading and Leeds festival headliners, organiser Melvin Benn has said.

The event, which takes place this Bank Holiday weekend, will be headlined by Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink-182.

In 2002, Guns N' Roses landed organisers in trouble when they arrived on stage more than two hours later for their headline slot.

Benn said that if the same thing happened at either Reading or Leeds this year “the performance just won't happen”.

"I've had a very heavy warning from the local councils,” he told BBC Newsbeat. “There is a curfew - it's a very strict curfew."

He added that any band that broke the curfew would threaten the viability of the event.
