George Michael plans to appeal against his eight-week jail sentence, it’s been reported. The former Wham! star was imprisoned on Tuesday (September 14) for crashing his car while under the influence of drugs. 
Director Casey Affleck has admitted that his new movie starring Joaquin Phoenix is a hoax. I’m Still Here portrays Phoenix’s apparent decision to ditch his acting career to follow his life-long ambition to become a rapper.

Sacha Baron Cohen is to play singer Freddie Mercury in a film about Queen, it has been announced. The movie, written by Peter Morgan, will focus on the band’s career up to their landmark performance at Live Aid in 1985.

Kanye West has hired a student from Yale to help reinvent his career, it’s been reported. The rapper is understood to have asked Cassius Marcellus Cornelius Clay to help him overcome the fallout from his outburst at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). 
Kings Of Leon were never asked to work with the hit TV show Glee, one of its creators has revealed. In August, the US band claimed they had turned down an offer to contribute their songs to the show.
