Lyrics to a song by Amy Winehouse have been used as part of an English exam at Cambridge University. Students were asked to compare the lyrics to Winehouse’s ‘Love Is A Losing Game’ with lyrics by Billie Holliday, Bob Dylan and Sir Walter Raleigh as part of their final-year exam. 
Sex Pistols star John Lydon has expressed a desire to work with Britney Spears – claiming he can help the singer overcome her personal problems. “I haven’t written a song for Britney yet but I would love to,” Lydon told the Sun newspaper. 
U2 frontman Bono has received an honorary degree for his contribution to music and humanitarian causes from Keio University in Japan. The singer was greeted by a rapturous response from students at the university as he collected the award yesterday (May 27th). 
The original members of Simple Minds will work together for the first time in 27 years when they enter a recording studio next month. Kylie Minogue will mark her 40th birthday with a lavish family dinner in the Czech Republic. The singer will be joined by family relatives from across the world for the dinner, including her parents who will be flown in from Australia.

US rapper P Diddy is currently writing the script for a romantic comedy that he hopes will feature a host of Hollywood a-listers. Speaking at the Cannes film festival, the rapper said that Angelina Jolie and Sienna Miller were his main targets for the lead female roles. 
Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the creators of the Gorillaz, will record the theme song for the BBC’s coverage of this years Olympic Games in Beijing. The animation and music will be based on the traditional Chinese novel Journey To The West. 
Razorlight’s as-yet-untitled third album should be out by the end of 2008, according to the bands drummer Andy Burrows. Speaking to BBC 6Music, Burrows said that the band were “very busy” recording to album. 
A court in Malawi has ruled that Madonna can adopt David Banda, a child whom she first met at an orphanage in the country 18-months ago. Alan Chinula, the singer’s lawyer said that Madonna was “very happy with what the judge has ruled.” 
Amy Winehouse was pictured with a fresh cut on her forearm outside her home in North London last night (May 27th). The singer was caught by photographers as she carried a rubbish bag to the porch of Camden home. 
Welsh singer Duffy has given her support to US rapper Jay-Z ahead of his performance at this years Glastonbury Festival. The rapper has received widespread criticism since it was unveiled that he would headline the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday (June 28th) of the event. 
Sigur Ros have used an image by New York-based visual artist Ryan McGinley for the controversial cover to their new album, ‘With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly’.
