Dr Dre To Release Instrumental Hip-Hop Album About The Solar System

August 4, 2010
Dr Dre To Release Instrumental Hip-Hop Album About The Solar SystemDr Dre has revealed that he is working on an instrumental gip-hop album about the planets that make up the solar system.

The rapper and producer said he had been thinking about the record for “a long time” and that he wanted to call it 'The Planets'.

“It’s just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like,” he said in an interview with Vibe magazine. “I’m gonna go off on that.

“Just all instrumental. I’ve been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet.”

Dr Dre didn't unveil a release date for the record, but said he was working on the album during spare time and that it would feature special surround sound.

The rapper is currently putting the finishing touches to his long-awaited album 'Detox'.

The follow-up to 1999's '2001' is due to be released later this year after a string of delays.
