The Beatles 'A Day In The Life' Lyric Sheet Fetches $1.2MJune 21, 2010
 The original handwritten lyric sheet for The Beatles 'A Day In The Life' has fetched $1.2million at auction.
The lyrics, written by John Lennon on a double-sided sheet of paper, sold for well above the original estimate at Sotherby's in New York. The Lennon-McCartney song was the final track on the Beatles' 1967 album 'Sgt Pepper'. The lyric sheet had previously belonged to the Liverpool band's road manager Mal Evans, reports the BBC.
