A BBC spokesperson has denied reports Robbie Williams is to reunite with former band Take That at a gig in London tomorrow.

On Wednesday, The Sun newspaper claimed Williams would join his ex-bandmates on stage at the Royal Albert Hall.

The gig, in aid of Children in Need, has been organised by Take That's Gary Barlow.

However, a spokeswoman said the newspaper reports were "categorically not true".

Williams revealed earlier this month that he had begun working with his former band again for the first time since he left in the mid-90s.

"We've got together, done bits and bobs. I can't say much,” he told chat show host Jonathan Ross.

Tomorrow's concert will also feature performances from Muse, Sir Paul McCartney, Lily Allen and Snow Patrol, who will perform with Cheryl Cole.

Dizzee Rascal and Dame Shirley Bassey will also appear.
