The Faces Reform For One-Off Charity GigSeptember 25, 2009
The Faces are set to a reform for a one-off show in London – without singer Rod Stewart.
The group - Ian McLagan, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones – will play at the Royal Albert Hall on October 25 at a charity event aiding the PRS for Music Members' Benevolent Fund. They'll be joined by an array of guest vocalists, plus ex-Rolling Stones star Bill Wyman who will replace bassist Ronnie Lane who died of pneumonia aged 51 in 1997. Wood said of the show: "This will be so special for us, staging a reunion for such a wonderful and prestigious event. "Sadly Ronnie Lane can't be with us, but I'm sure he will be there in spirit, God bless him." Other acts performing on the night include Mick Hucknall, former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, Georgie Fame and Kiki Dee.
