The singer, who is preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief, is receiving treatment for back spasms.

A statement released on the singer's before blamed the injury on Barlow's “hectic training schedule”, but added that he should be able to depart for Africa next week.

The singer is one of a host of celebrities who are scheduled to climb Kilimanjaro, which is 19,330 feet tall.
