U2's Spider-Man Musical Opening Delayed AgainJanuary 14, 2011
The opening of the new Spider-Man musical, which features music by U2, has been delayed again.
The curtains on the Broadway production were due to come up in February, but ongoing problems during previews have pushed the opening back until March. Producer Michael Cohl said the cast needed more time to rehearse and that this would be the “final postponement”. U2’s Bono and The Edge returned from touring earlier this month to help ready the production in time. Originally due to open last year, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has been hit by a string of financial and production problems, including the on-stage injuries of cast members. The production at the Foxwoods Theatre is understood to cost $65million. (by Jason Gregory) See also: U2 Promise 'Glastonbury On Steroids' Performance (28.04.2011)
