Pete Doherty Skips Court Hearing Over Cocaine Possession ChargesJanuary 18, 2011
Pete Doherty failed to attend his scheduled court date, following charges over cocaine possession.
The singer along with friends Peter Wolfe and Alan Wass were meant to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Friday (January 14). The charges followed an inquiry into the death of 27-year-old filmmaker Robin Whitehead. The daughter of Ecologist Magazine's founder Teddy Goldsmith died while making a documentary about Doherty. Doherty's lawyer Peter Ratliff said that the singer did not realise he had to attend the committal hearing, the Swindon Advertiser reports. All three men are expected to deny the charges. They will now appear in court for a committal hearing on February 2. (by Holly Frith) See also: Pete Doherty Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Possession (09.04.2011)
