Them Crooked Vultures Confirm Plans To Record Second AlbumDecember 3, 2009
Them Crooked Vultures have confirmed plans to record a second album.
Drummer Dave Grohl said the group, which also features Josh Homme and John Paul Jones, had already spoken about making a follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut. “I don't know when we'll do it or where or how, but it's not something I would ever wanna stop doing that's for sure,” he told BBC 6Music. Grohl, who usually fronts Foo Fighters, admitted that the group had exceeded his original expectations. "To be completely honest when we first started this I thought, 'Wow, I am excited to do a project where we don't go on tour and do interviews',” he said. “[But] after we started recording it was apparent... we knew this is a band, this isn't really a project. “The more we play and the longer we do this the better it gets. You'd be crazy not to wanna do it, it's incredible.” Them Crooked Vultures are due to begin a seven-date UK tour in Plymouth on December 10.
