Rolling Stones Keith Richards: Mick Jagger Is Unbearable

October 15, 2010
Rolling Stones Keith Richards: Mick Jagger Is UnbearableRolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has described bandmate Mick Jagger as “unbearable” in his memoirs.

Richards lays the their relationship on the line in Life, which is due to be released later this month.

In an extract from the book, serialised in The Times newspaper, he reveals that there is a huge distance between the pair.

"I used to love Mick, but I haven't been to his dressing room in 20 years,” Richards writes. “Sometimes I think, 'I miss my friend'. I wonder, 'Where did he go?'."

He also claims that it was at the beginning of the 1980s when Jagger became “unbearable”.

Writing about Jagger’s solo album ‘Goddess In The Doorway’, Richards says: “It's like Mein Kampf - everyone had it, but no-one read it."

In an accompanying interview Richards claimed that Jagger had read his new book and that he wanted to embark on another tour with the Rolling Stones.

Life, which traces the guitarist’s entire history, is due to be released on October 26.
