Trent Reznor 'Stunned' To Win Oscar For The Social Network ScoreFebruary 28, 2011
Trent Reznor has said he is “truly stunned” to win an Oscar for his soundtrack to The Social Network.
The Nine Inch Nails star picked up the prize for Best Original Score alongside composer Atticus Ross at the 83rd Academy Awards in Los Angeles last night (February 27). Speaking to reporters after collecting the award, Reznor said director David Fincher had “bugged” the pair to compose the score. “I’m very glad we did,” he added. “It’s been the best experience I’ve ever had from start to finish.” In January, Reznor and Ross also won Best Original Score for The Social Network at the Golden Globes. Meanwhile, British film The King's Speech was the big winner at the Oscars, taking home Best Picture and Best Actor for Colin Firth. Natalie Portman won Best Actress for her role in Black Swan. The award for Best Original Song went to Randy Newman's 'We Belong Together' from Toy Story 3. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
