Simian Mobile Disco: Beth Ditto Solo EP Is 'Raw And Simple'

December 22, 2010
Simian Mobile Disco: Beth Ditto Solo EP Is 'Raw And Simple'Simian Mobile Disco have spoken about working with Beth Ditto on her debut solo EP.

The Gossip singer's EP is due to be released in January, although a date has yet to be confirmed.

The production duo said recording the four-track effort with Ditto “couldn't have been any more fun”.

“We basically started where we left off with cruel intentions and went deeper into psychedelic disco territory,” they said.

“We tried to keep it pretty raw and simple, all the while focussing on Beth's brilliant melodies."

The EP will arrive just over a year after Gossip released their last album 'Music For Men'. It is not currently clear whether Ditto plans to release a solo album in addition to the EP.
