The Faces Hope To Reunite With Rod StewartOctober 26, 2009
The Faces are hoping to reunite for a tour in 2010, according to band member Kenney Jones.
After playing a charity show last night with The Faces, Jones said, “I'd love to see it in 2010, if not the following year but time’s not on our side, the sooner we do it the better." Original Faces member Rod Stewart did not perform at the Royal Albert Hall with the band last night (October 26) but is keen on a full reunion according to drummer Jones. "Rod wants to do it as well, but it’s just down to getting the schedules right for all of us to do it at the same time, because everyone’s doing different things at different times,” he told BBC6music. Rod was replaced by at last night's concert by guest performers including Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall, Mel C and Kiki Dee. The line-up consisted of Ian McLagan, Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones of The Who, with Wood’s Stones bandmate Bill Wyman replacing the late Ronnie Lane on bass.
