Biffy Clyro Break Silence Over Matt Cardle's 'Funny' X Factor CoverBiffy Clyro have spoken for the first time about X Factor winner Matt Cardle's cover of their song 'Many Of Horror'.

Cardle, who won the show last weekend, is set to take this year's Christmas number one spot with the song, retitled 'When We Collide'.

Speaking on Australian radio station Undercover, Biffy Clyro drummer Ben Johnston said: "The whole thing’s a bit surreal, we think it's all quite funny."

He also revealed that the song had been selected to be Cardle's debut single after being chosen by judge Simon Cowell.

"Everybody knows everybody, certainly in something like the music industry,” he said. “He [Cowell] said it was a great song and he [Cardle] should use it."

Meanwhile, a Facebook campaign is aiming to make Biffy Clyro's original version number one.
