The Libertines Only Rehearsing For Twenty Days Before ReturnAugust 2, 2010
The Libertines are yet to have a single practise for their much publicised reunion shows at this years Reading and Leeds festivals.
The bands drummer Gary Powell told The Daily Star that he is due to attend the first practise session, along with Pete Doherty, Carl Barat and John Hassall, on August 9th - just twenty days before they play the festival. "We start rehearsing on August 9. It will be weird to go back, but if we try to replicate how things used to be it won’t work." he said "We’ve got to bring a new dynamic for the kids who haven’t seen us before. “I never got why we were fashionable in the first place. It never made sense to me why Libs was so big, but it’s all about the characters - Pete and Carl are unique." The band are strongly rumoured to be playing a warm-up show in London before their two festival appearances. (by David Renshaw) See also: Carl Barat Speaks About Future Of The Libertines (27.04.2011)
