Nissan Launch Competition To Create Ultimate Song With Help From La RouxLa Roux have helped launch a competition with Nissan Juke to create the ultimate “infectious” song.

The contest, dubbed Behind The Hit, is open to both wannabe musicians and more technically advanced producers.

Organised by Nissan, entrants have to create a song from a selection of music stems provided, while users will vote on which track they like the best.

The overall winner will be chosen from the top-10 voted tracks in the advanced competition.

As well as studio time with La Roux’s Ben Langmaid, the winner will also get transport, accommodation and VIP tickets to a live gig at Koko in London on April 5, where their song will be played out during La Roux’s DJ set.

The top-10 tracks in both the simple and advanced categories will also win their creators VIP tickets to the gig, which will also feature performance from The Naked and Famous, Pony Pony Run Run and Delphic.

Everyone who enters goes into the draw to win a pair of tickets to the exclusive gig at Koko, and Spotify Premium membership for a year.

La Roux’s Langmaid said: “We’re looking forward to it, we think it’ll be great to hear what people are coming up with.

“Maybe we will have a few disagreements on who we think should be the winner, I’m sure there’ll be a discussion, but we’re looking forward to hearing everyone’s tracks.”

Behind the Hit expresses Nissan Juke’s infectious Energy through an innovative collaboration of user-generated music with professional musicians.
