Smashing Pumpkins Play New Song In French Bookshop

October 6, 2010
Smashing Pumpkins Play New Song In French BookshopThe Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan played a new song during an intimate acoustic gig in France last week.

Corgan performed the track, entitled 'Jesus Needs A Hit', for a small group of fans in a bookshop in Paris.

Introducing the song, the singer said: “OK, to mark this special occasion I'd like to play a new, new, new song that I just wrote a few days ago.

“So you're the first people to hear this song, so you have a very big responsibility to like this song.”

Corgan stumbled during his first attempt to play the track, before finally completing the song.

The singer was appearing at the book store to promote his new book, Chants Magnétiques, co-written with Claire Fercak.
