Norwegian AC/DC Concert Ends In ViolenceFebruary 19, 2009
An AC/DC concert in Norway last night (February 18) ended in violence with fans clashing with police outside the venue.
The rock legends were performing a show at the Telenor Arena near Oslo, but concert-goers were forced to endure long traffic jams to get to the venue. The problem got worse after the gig, with stationary traffic and apparent poor transport links leaving many people stranded. According to WENN, Norwegian website Budstikka.no reports that things soon turned ugly with many fans venting their anger on police officers - throwing bottles at patrol cars and tearing down fences erected to control the crowds. Local police blamed poorly organised transport systems and frustrated alcohol-fuelled rock fans for the breakdown of order after the gig, according to the website. No arrests were made.
