George Michael To Release New Order Cover For Comic ReliefMarch 2, 2011
George Michael has recorded a cover of New Order's 'Truth Faith' for Comic Relief.
The single, which will be accompanied by a new video, is due to be released digitally on march 13 and physically on March 14. All proceeds from the song will be donated to Comic Relief, along with New Order's member's publishers’ mechanical royalties. 'True Faith' is Michael's second single for Comic Relief. He also did a Little Britain Sketch with David Williams and Matt Lucas. Comic relief founder Richard Curtis said he was “thrilled and delighted” that the singer had once again offered his support to the charity. “We promise we’ll use every penny we make from it to save and change lives in Africa and all over the UK,” he added. Red Nose day takes place on March 18. (by Jason Gregory) See also: George Michael Says It Won't Rain At Royal Wedding (28.04.2011)
