Leona Lewis and X Factor Finalists' Michael Jackson Cover Top UK ChartsNovember 23, 2009
The 12 X Factor Finalists of 2009 have topped the UK singles chart with their charity cover of Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone'.
All proceeds from the version of Jackson's 1995 hit song go to Great Ormond Street children's hospital. As well as the number one, three more of the tracks inside the top ten are X Factor affiliated – Leona Lewis' 'Happy' at four, Cheryl Cole's 'Fight For This Love' at five and JLS' 'Everybody In Love' at six. Over on the album chart, Leona Lewis scored her second number one record with 'Echo', toppling JLS' eponymous effort which sold 28,000 less, according to the Official Charts Company. Queen debuted at three with their latest best of compilation 'Absolute Greatest' and Snow Patrol's 'Up To Now' is down at number seven. The top 10 albums in the UK this week are:
