Aretha Franklin Diagnosed With CancerDecember 9, 2010
Aretha Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer it has been revealed.
The soul singer has undergone a 'highly successful' surgery after cancelling her recent tour. "God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses who were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country," Franklin said in a statement Last month, the singer axed all gigs for the next six months under the orders of her doctors, but said she was "anxious" to get back on the road.
