Jedward Chosen As Irish Eurovision EntryFebruary 12, 2011
Former X Factor twins Jedward have been chosen to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The brothers - real name John and Edward Grimes - beat four other acts on RTE’s Late Late Show with a song called ‘Lipstick’. "It's gonna be exciting, amazing, full on,” they said after being helped to victory by viewers’ votes. "From the moment we start people are going to have their lipstick on.” "We just wanna do well and bring the title back to Ireland." The 56th staging of the contest will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany in May. Blue will represent the United Kingdom at the annual contest.
