Rammstein's New Album Deemed 'Harmful' To Young PeopleNovember 10, 2009
Rammstein's new album 'Liebe Ist Für Alle Da' has been deemed as “harmful” to young people and can no longer appear on public display in some shops in Germany.
Citing Section 18 of the Youth Protection Act, The Office for the Examination of Media Harmful in the band's native country put the ruling into effect from tomorrow (November 11). The officials believe that the record's artwork – which features the band members taking a saw to a female on a mortuary slab – song-titles and lyrics are not suitable for anyone below the age of 18, reports The Guardian. On top of this, Rammstein will not be allowed to perform one song 'Ich Tu Dir Weh' ('I Want to Hurt You') live in Germany. (by Scott Colothan) See also: |
