The BBC Apologise For Rage Against The Machine Swearing Live On Air

December 17, 2009
The BBC Apologise For Rage Against The Machine Swearing Live On AirThe BBC have issued an apology after Rage Against The Machine swore live on air this morning.

During a performance of 'Killing In The Name' on the Radio 5 breakfast show today, Rage's 'Zach de la Rocha' hilariously sang the “Fuck you I won't do what you tell me” despite being asked not to do so.

A red-faced BBC spokesperson said: "We had spoken to the band repeatedly beforehand and they had agreed not to swear.

"When they did, we faded the band out and apologised immediately to anyone who was offended."

At the time of the incident, presenter Shelagh Fogarty blasted “Get rid of it!” before urging listeners to go out and but Joe McElderry's single instead.
