Radiohead Heading Back Into The Studio To Work On New MaterialMarch 28, 2008
Radiohead have reserved studio time with their producer Nigel Godrich to work on new material, bassist Colin Green has revealed.
Greenwood said the band’s relationship with the Godrich, who worked on their latest album, ‘In Rainbows’, was like having “an old-school executive producer”. He explained that Godrich was always “talking about the bigger picture and booking time to be creative.” Speaking to Pitchfork, Greenwood said that the band are currently rehearsing in preparation for their upcoming US and UK tours. Although he wouldn’t say whether they would play any new songs on their live outings, he revealed that frontman Thom Yorke had a list of 70 tracks for them to rehearse. “It’s been real difficult to remember stuff,” Greenwood joked. “We should’ve gone onto YouTube to remind us how to play the songs.” (by Jason Gregory) See also: Radiohead Record Store Day Release Leaks Online (14.04.2011)
