Thom Yorke To Play UK Green Party Benefit GigFebruary 11, 2010
Thom Yorke has announced details of a one-off gig to help raise money for the Green Party.
The Radiohead frontman will perform at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on February 25. Yorke is appearing on behalf of friend and environmental campaigner Tony Juniper, who is attempting to become one of the first Green Members of Parliament. “Now normally I wouldn't get involved in politics like this... but lets face it.. it ain't Labour or the Tories is it?!? so..” Yorke said. “And anyway he bought me a pint and twisted my arm. It's a slippery slope I know.” Support at the gig will come from Pete Um. Tickets go on sale at Midday today (February 11) via Waste.
